Hello, I am planning a trip to the Carpathian Mountains area on september, as my budget is limited I would like to know which country is cheaper and which one is more expensive: Poland, Slovakia and Romania. If you know accommodation and meals approximated prices, or you have any recommendation, I'll be pleased to hear. I would like to go to a hot spring in a rural area, with a nice view to relax. I prefer not very touristic places, somewhere where the local people go. Thank you very much.

  1. Romania is cheaper than the other at the peripheries zones

but in the towns all are similar

  2. They are all great places to visit. From the most expensive to cheapest ; Poland, Slovakia, Romania.

  3. Romania now.

  4. I don't know the prices for the other two countries , but for Romania I can tell you the prices are still reasonable (even low  - for food): nice places you can find in Bucovina region (north-eastern region) + many monasteries who can offer you a bed and food and ...silence

    - also a good option: Apuseni mountains (western Romania).

Springs (and HOT!) you have at Baile Felix, Bihor county (county = judet) - the rest I am not sure, but I heard they are cold as ice :)

...but it is a little crowded, because many Romanian people come here for treatment.

  5. Romania

  6. from the most expensive to the cheapest: PL, SL, RO

  7. I have never been to Romania, but Poland and Slovakia I have. I would lean towards Slovakia for an affordable trip with great views for the cost. Get online and search for areas away from the tourist spots. Usually you can find small family owned places for half the priceof tourist hotels.
