Poland confirmed to host the 2013 Beach Volleyball World Championship – Volleyball news
Poland has been confirmed to host the 2013 edition of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Champion.
The biennial double-gender event of Beach Volleyball World Championship is one of the elite competitions of SWATCH FIVB World Tour.
This year, the Italian city of Rome is set to host the World Championship from June 13-19. The championship will be attended by the athletes from around the globe. This is the eighth edition of FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship.
In the long run, the Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) has decided that Poland will be the most appropriate country to host the next edition of this event. The decision was locked last week, when the top officials of the FIVB and Board of Governors
gathered at the head quarters of International Volleyball Federation in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Poland has great history of being involved with FIVB to host some of the very important international events. The Polish Volleyball Federation has always been willing to accommodate the international athlete family.
One important event, which is coming in Poland in near future, is the final round of 2011 FIVB Volleyball World League. The first two rounds will be hosted by several other countries, while the final round is scheduled to complete its length in Poland from
July 6-10. The city of Gdansk will set the field for play.
Dr. Ary Graca, a member of the FIVB Board and the President of Beach Volleyball World Tour council, expressed hope that the 2013 Beach Volleyball World Championship will be major success. He assured that the Polish Volleyball Federation will carry on the
outstanding tradition of hosting International events.
Likewise, the President of the Polish Volleyball Federation and Executive Committee co-opted member, Mr. Miroslaw Przedpelski thanked the FIVB for their kind consideration of Poland as a host of the 2013 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship.
He stated that the Polish Volleyball Federation is much obliged to the FIVB for their trust and confidence in Poland’s ability to host such wonderful international event. Przedpelski assured that volleyball fans in Poland and all around the world will have
a great experience.
