Poland getting ready to rumble with defending champion Brazil
The preliminary robin round of the 2011 FIVB World League is going to be finished in the next week.
This is the most crucial stage of the tournament before the start of Final round as successful teams will get the chance to play in the next round. Hence, all the participants of 2011 FIVB World League are working on their skills to make a good finish in
the 6th week.
Poland and Brazil are supposed to have their third meeting on Wednesday, June 29. Both teams have already been confirmed for the Final round of the tournament. Brazil earned the qualification on account of brilliant performance in the first five weeks, while
Poland is automatically included in the final grid of teams for being the host of final round.
The Final round of the 2011 FIVB World League is set to take place from July 6-10 and the most important phase of the tournament will be staged in Polish City Gdansk. Team Poland is fully prepared to make a big impact in the last week of the preliminary
round. However, they will put up against Brazil, which is considered one of the toughest teams of the tournament. They have compiled a record of 8-2 and are ranked number 1 in Pool A.
Previously, the two teams met during the second week of the tournament and appeared in two matches. Brazil worked out a great victory over Poland in the first match. Brazil was the host of second-week matches and the home squad took full advantage of the
familiar conditions. Polish team managed to put up a bit of resistance in the second match but ended up receiving 1-3 defeat.
This time around, Brazilian team has travelled to the City Katowice in Poland, which means Poles will have the better chances to give out a good performance. The capital city of Poland, Silesia welcomed the Brazilian team on Monday. They started their training
session on Monday at noon. Brazilian roster remains almost the same but there is just one player missing. Visotto pulled a muscle during last match against Team USA on Friday. He is still struggling with muscle pull-up and might not join the match against
Poland.
The mentor of Brazilian side, Bernardo Rezende is excited about coming to the town of Katowice. He stated, “I am glad to be back in Katowice, this is a great place because everything started there for me. We won the World League for the first time in my
career here, in Spodek.”
The guys around head coach Anastasi demonstrated a flawless performance against Puerto Rico in the last week and bagged two consecutive victories. They travelled to Katowice last Saturday and held their training for the upcoming matches. Both teams are all
set to make a happy ending. Now let’s see, which one of them clinches success.
