displayed a better performance and defeated Canadian counterparts at their home soil.
The Head Coach of Canadian team Glenn Hoag shared his views after the match. He said, “Poland gave us a volleyball lesson tonight. At times we looked like a junior team. It was a difficult match. We couldn’t execute. Every match from here on in will be a
test for us and a learning process.”
After beating Canada at home, Poland is in a great form to continue with success in the next match. This time, Poland will also have the competitive advantage in the game. Poland will be in a better position to put psychological pressure on visiting Canadian
squad.
On the other hand, Canada will have to stage a flawless performance in order to overcome the hosts. Canadians have also cooked up a lot of plans to take revenge of their previous defeat. Nonetheless, it will not be easy task to down the No. 1 team of the
group.
Poland finished the first-week of the 2012 FIVB World League with 2-1 record and got hold of the top slot in Pool B. Although, Canada had the same 2-1 ratio but Poland went up on account of better percentage in sets.
Polish team defeated the World Champions Brazil in the first leg of the tournament before the Finnish upset the Poles in the second match. That was the only loss that Poland had to bear in the competition.
Now that Poland will be playing at home, the team is determined to win all its matches and keep the top spot in hand. The team-line of the Poland has not seen any major changes for the next match. Zbigniew Bartman is staying in the team and he will serve
