Poland versus France – International Friendly: First half review
Poland and France played out an eventful international friendly encounter at PGE Arena Gdansk in Poland as Laurent Blanc resumed his team’s experimental formation on their latest away trip. The former Manchester United defender
fielded Cedric Carrasso as France’s first choice goalkeeper.

In the 9th minute, Poland had a wonderful chance to send their home support into raptures as Lewandowski headed the ball towards the French goal. Unluckily for the Polish, Lewandowski’s header sailed over the cross bar

However the goal was credited to Tomasz Jodlowiec, as an own goal as the defender got a massive deflection on the ball which helped it on its way. In the 14th minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 almost got their equalizer as Mierzejewski’s

In the 43rd minute just before the half time whistle http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 and Ludovic Obraniak both went into the referee’s book as the pair tussled on the field after a dangerous tackle by the Polish defender. The referee did
not take a lenient view of the incident as he brandished a yellow card for both the players. Shortly after the first half came to a close with the score line at one nil at the PGE Arena Gdansk.
