Poland’s Myszka Piotr retains lead on Day 3 of RS:X Youth European Windsurfing Championship
The RS:X Youth European Windsurfing Championship has entered its final stages after the end of Day 3 at Burgas, in Bulgaria. With a tremendous sail on the third day, Poland’s Myszka Piotr has retained his lead of Men’s division standings with 12 points.
The Polish had grabbed a commanding lead of 22 points over the second placed Byron Kokkalanis from Greece, who earned 34 points so far in the event.
The winds were shifty on Burgas waters but mostly they were less than co-operative to surfers on Day 3. The conditions were marginal, as the breeze gusted around the race course up to 12 knots which was not enough for a superb surfing. However, the windsurfers
maintained very well to finish the scheduled races on time with splendid surfing.
The Polish windsurfer, Piotr, built an impressive lead in the gold fleet winning three races brilliantly and retained his overall lead. Greece’s Kokkalanis had a low run on third day and finished second in the standings while Spain’s Ivan Pastor Lafuente
is at third position with 40 points overall after 11 races.
