  1. Ask Al Gore...

In your paper remember this... Pollar Bears found dead in the water isnt global warming... thats often where Polar Bears die! They can float in water for hours and hours as their fat keeps them a float and they hair is hallow which also helps them float and stay warm.

Its like saying a seal or whale drowned...

  2. google.com, but i would look on the library of congress website and the national archives' website. go under law and government.

  3. go to wwf.org... they fight for all sorts of campaigns... search up polar bear and see what campaigns pop up because almost all of them have to do with fighting with the government about their rights!

  4. Look at the green peace website.

Opposition builds against drilling Arctic's Chukchi Sea

    January 31, 2008

Juneau, AK  -- Alaska natives and conservation groups joined forces today to challenge oil drilling in the Arctic's Chukchi Sea. Thirty million acres of key polar bear, walrus, and whale habitat in the Chukchi Sea are scheduled to be opened to oil and gas companies on February 6, when the U.S. Interior Department's Minerals Management Service (MMS) plans to hold bidding for drilling leases.

A coalition made up of the Native Village of Point Hope, the City of Point Hope, the Inupiat Community of the Arctic Slope, REDOIL (Resisting Environmental Destruction on Indigenous Lands), the Alaska Wilderness League, Center for Biological Diversity, National Audubon Society, Natural Resources Defense Council, Northern Alaska Environmental Center, Oceana, Pacific Environment, Sierra Club, and The Wilderness Society filed suit in federal district court in Alaska today, arguing that in making its decision to hold the lease sale, MMS did not adequately weigh the impacts oil and gas activities would have on wildlife like polar bears, or on native villages along Alaska's North Slope. The organizations are being represented by Earthjustice, a nonprofit environmental law firm.

The Bush administration is nearing a decision that would officially acknowledge the environmental damage of global warming, and name its first potential victim: the polar bear.

The Interior Department may act as soon as this week on its year-old proposal to make the polar bear the first species to be listed as threatened with extinction because of melting ice due to a warming planet.
