Polar Opposites?

How do astrological polar opposites relate? I notice that I feel kind of weird around my opposite (Cancer).. My question how do people react to their opposites? What is the relationship between polar opposites? Are they (in character) opposite from each other?..

I can only talk for myself. My rising is Gemini and my Sun is Sagittarius. I do relate to gemini folks very well but not in a romantic way in general.

In my observations (about others especially if they have planets in the ascendant) they either relate very well or really dislike each other.

they either do, do not or kind of balance each other.

My parents are Capricorn/Cancer........one h**l of a marriage..but that is only one example and am sure other cap/cancer get along really fine..
