Anyone know the difference between the RS800G3 and RS800sd models? Which one is more suitable for a long distance runner?

From what I can work out, it's the sd model I'm after, but I want to make sure before spending all that cash!!!

The Polar website isn't too helpful!!!

  1. The G3 Model includes the GPS pod....SD model only has the S3 foot pod.

Another piece of advice....manually calibrate your S3 foot pod over a long run.  I did mine over a 1/2 marathon...figured out the calibration factor and then it is just about dead one every time.

Be careful when changing the S3 battery, you can bend the contacts extremely easy leaving you with a dead S3. Check out my post at http://forum.polar.fi/showthread.php?t=3...

I really think the GPS pod isn't worth it unless you are doing other things than running....and then it still looks geeky.
