Polaris 2003 Jet Ski MSX 140 Problems HELP?

Power cuts off every now and then and it feels like it is bogging down, it is burning oil and check engine light comes on after you go above 20 MPH, under 20, the light goes off. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem may be?

Have it checked to see if the carburetor is clogged.  Sometimes this will cause the ski to shut down and the engine light will come on.  Also, when was the last time you had it serviced before taking it out on the water?  It may need new spark plugs, cleaned carburetor, battery, etc.  It is always a good idea to have it serviced before the first summer use.
