Polaroid Flat Panel TV FLM 373B

Question

I can use my remote or the power button on the TV to turn-on the set. Either of them causes the blue light to come on indicating power. Two problems:
1. The TV power button will not turn-off the set - blue "on" button remains lit.
2. There is no picture or sound - screen remains black as when turned-off.
Anyone have any ideas?
