Question:

Polaroid One-Stop Express help?

I've recently taken up an interest in photography and when I get a job, I will start saving up for a digital SLR camera (detailed in another question) I found an old Polaroid camera in our closet and a box of film for it. Only, I don't really have any idea how to work it. I don't know how to load film, or how to tell if there already is film in there, etc.

The camera is green and its model name is apparently Polaroid One-Stop Express.

I am also not sure how to actually take a picture...no button on the camera seems to be labeled as that. There is a yellow sliding button the function of which I am not sure of. It could be a power button. I really need help learning the procedures of operating this camera, including what to do after I take the picture, etc. Help from anybody with experience with this or a similar camera would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

This is what the camera looks like: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/21RCBS9XEEL._SL160_.jpg

  1. Here is a list of all the recent cameras Polaroid made and the film that fits the ... and when they will be stopping production on the matching film types

  2. Wow, a polaroid camera! How old is the film? If it is really old, it may not work, as the power for the shutter and motor is also in the film pack. The shutter for this is on the right side of the camera. I found a photo at yahoo shopping:

It's the little yellow thing on the right side of the camera (left side of the photo).

Polaroid is going out of the film business, but you can still find film for your new camera if you look hard. Stock up if you like the camera, because once it's gone, it's gone!
