Police Uniform?

So as a police officer do take your uniforms home, or live them at work? Cuz i wouldn't want my neighbours to notice that am a police officer, and i hope they dont give u missions around your home?

we were issued 3 summer and 3 winter uniforms. all were taken home. it was our responsibility to have them cleaned.your neighbors will already find out about you. when they do your background they will talk to neighbore.one thing to think about. never put your phone in your name.idiots may find it and start to harass you. they will also find your address.i never had any bill in my name for 25 years on the job.

it all depends. i leave mine at the office and change there when i go out on patrol. if i have to work an event the next day  i wear it home.

In that case by all means DO NOT become a police officer. Do you really think your neighbors wouldn't know you were a cop?

The cops I've worked with wore their uniforms home, they have to be cleaned (washed) you know.

Some of them have a uniform in their locker at the department, in case some slob gets blood or c**p on the one he is wearing.

Missions? I've never heard of a cop being sent on a mission---calls, cases maybe.

A cop goes where the dispatcher tells him, usually in his assigned area, but can be called to a different area, if there is a need for back up.

do your city a favor- find a means of employment that wouldn't put another police officers in jeopardy, I'm sure there isn't a police officer in the entire world who would want you on their department.

Nor  one who would want you as a partner.

I SUPPOSE police officers leave their cloths in the precinct when they are off duty. Much better than wearing it when they go to work in the morning. POLICE PRECINCT have lockers supposedly and can keep valuable things in their for daily use.

Depends on where you work.  Deputies and state patrols often wear their uniforms home, especially in the west.  You can't always drive to the station.  I've done police work in civies, because my unifrom was unavailable.

As I drive a marked police car and park it in my driveway I keep the uniform on.
