Depends on what academy you attend. I suggest getting picked up and letting the agency pay for it and your salary as you attend.

I found it to be hard, fun and rewarding.

If you want easy, you are not ready for the police academy.  Go to the websites for whatever department you are interested in and look it up and request the information.
