Yesterday afternoon a body of 37-year –old Stefan Welch was found on the course of d**e Golf Club, which is situated on the outskirts of Brighton. According to the post mortem reports, the man died because of a hard object hitting the head.
Further investigations are being held by the concerned police station but the constable is found telling the press that the man was killed somewhere else and later his body was dragged to the golf course. A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection to it.
The exact details narrate that the man was killed somewhere between 10;30 pm to 12;30 pm on Friday night and later the murderer bought his body to the course in a bag and set it on fire. According to the golf authorities, only members of the golf course are allowed in the venue after 8pm. This means that whoever the murderer is, he was the member of the golf course.
After looking into the membership details, a man from Hove, East Sussex, has been arrested and is being held in interrogation in connection with the death of 37-year-old Stefan Welch. However, by far the suspect has not accepted any criminal offence as yet. According to the detectives, the deceased was not killed any where far away before being bought to the d**e Golf Club and then thrown on the rough of the 17th hole.
Moreover, further news states that the body of Mr. Welch could not be recognized initially but after the DNA sample was taken and matched with the national database authorities, the name and residence of the victim was identified. Mr. Welsh lived at the Phase One hostel in Oriental Place, Brighton, only few blocks away from the golf club. Initially it was thought that the victim was mutilated but after the detailed examination of the scene, this suspicion proved wrong as the detectives believe that one of the foot was removed by an animal, as it dragged the body a few inches from the point at which his body was set to fire.
Furthermore, a team of officers were sent on a visit to the petrol stations in the area in which the murder took place after it was established that some sort of accelerant was used to burn the body. Moreover, the Police station has issued orders to all the people who saw or talked to Mr Welch between Wednesday and Saturday of the last week to contact the investigating team so that they can proceed with the interrogation.
According to a 28-year-old, Gavin Carey, Mr. Welch was last seen at 2.30pm on Friday. Gavin was Mr. Welch’s neighbour and according to him, he considered the deceased as his friend. He further said that Welch was a quiet man, and he stayed away from people thereby he did not have many friends. The family of the victim has not been contacted yet by the police, as no information has reached the investigation team but very soon the family will be traced and the body will be handed over to them.
