Police clearance certificate?

Question

i am living in india and have to go to portugal for study.

there embassy is demanding police clearance certificate

could any one help me about the procedure to apply.. and how many days it take

I do not know about India, But in the States I had to go to the police Department, fill out a form, cost 2-3 Dollars, waited about 15 minutes while they ran a computer check on me, and gave me 2 copy (s) certifying I did not have a record. I imagine that it would be the same process in India, Call the police station and inquire. Good Luck..

You need to go to the police station where you live and ask for a Police Clearance, take a couple of passport photos with you.
