Do police really escort people driving pregnant women to the hospital?

  1. This is totally dependant on the individual departments policy but the norm is to dispatch ambulance in order to reduce department liability.


  2. Not in Ontario, Canada. If you're pulled over for speeding and there is any kind of a medical emergency, they call for an ambulance. I would assume this would be the standard in most places.

  3. Not unless they know that the car that is being driven has a pregnant woman in it and is headed to a hospital.  They would have to be called by the pregnant woman.  And if the woman has enough time to wait for a police officer to show up they would send an ambulance instead
