  1. its a form of restraint and yes it is better then deadly force.

Tazers don't kill all the drugs in the suspect system kills

  2. since tasers have came out there have been fewer incidents where cops need to actually use deadly force.  i dont think it is punishment.. i think it is a good idea if you dont want to die for being stupid.

  3. I use a tazer, OFTEN.... and I do not use it as punishment, I use it as a tool to aid an arrest.

Lets get this clear right out the door.....

Okay I look at a guy and realize that I could take them, though it may take time and the risk of us exchanging blood and the fact that I may have to break a bone or he gets a broken bone increases...

Those kind of damage last a LONG TIME, whereas the pain starts when the tazer turns on and stops the moment the tasers "5 second" ride turns off...

I am not going to say there are times it hasn't been abused... I know I do and the people I work with use "The minimum amount of force needed to detain the subject and stop the overt action"

  4. Works either way as far as i care.

These people getting tased are breaking the law in the first place, so why the h**l should we booh hooh over it.

  5. Last resort to compliance, with out the use of a night stick.

  6. An acceptable alternative to deadly force.
