Polish International Junior Championships: Bastian Kersaudy – Antoine Lodiot bag Men’s Doubles title
France’s Bastian Kersaudy and Antoine Lodiot have made their presence felt as they have bagged Men’s Doubles title after beating their team-mates, Vanmael Heriau and Loic Mittelheisser in the final contest of Polish International Junior Championships, in
Poland, on Sunday, January 22.
Bastian and Antoine, who were the second seeds in Men’s Doubles category, outclassed their lower ranked compatriots without losing any game in the title match. They took no time in sending their opponents packing as they ended the match in straight games
in just 22 minutes.
The opening game of this contest was close but Bastian and Antoine dominated the game in ending points and won it with a narrow margin.
The higher ranked French shuttlers showed much urgency in the second set and took it with a huge margin without facing any problem from their challengers.
The starting points of the first game were really interesting when both sides showed their impressive skills and played to their maximum potential.
The cracking sounds of strokes could be heard in every corner of the huge indoor arena. Until the break in opening set, both pairs remained close on the score board.
After the break, both sides again remained equal as they played with precision and reached at the concluding stage of opening set.
The lower ranked Vanmael and Loic could not dominate the rallies in ending points. On the other hand, Bastian and Antoine employed their experience at this stage and managed to take the game with a narrow difference of 21-19.
In the following set, Bastian and Antoine remained quicker as compared to their opponents and established an incredible lead in the opening half. Their lower ranked opponents failed to control the pace at net and played many negative strokes.
After the break, Bastian and Antoine continued their roller-coaster play by keeping their speed at maximum level. Their finishing touch was impressive as they did not miss any chance in winning points.
The positive play of Bastian and Antoine helped them to win the second game with a one-sided score of 21-13. This Men’s Doubles final clash ended in just 22 minutes with a 21-19 and 21-13 score on the board.
