Polish Open 2012: Lukasz Moren – Wojciech Szkudlarczyk power their way into Men’s Doubles final
Poland’s ace shuttlers Lukasz Moren and Wojciech Szkudlarczyk made their home fans happy by reaching into Men’s Doubles final as they crushed Sweden’s Patrick Lundqvist and Jonathan Nordh in semi-final contest at the Polish Open 2012 in Poland, on Saturday, September 1.
The top seeded Lukasz and Wojciech, who played remarkable badminton in all of their fights in the tournament, continued their positive run and thrashed their lower ranked Patrick and Jonathan in a dominating manner.
The higher ranked Polish shuttlers were in tremendous form while playing in the semi-final battle as they showed their wonderful skills and lived up to the expectations by finishing off the battle with a huge margin in just 32 minutes.
The third seeded Patrick and Jonathan, on the other hand, failed to shake the boat of their higher ranked local opponents. They remained unable to match the speed of their challengers and lost the match without creating a strong impact.
Right from the starting points of the match, Lukasz and Wojciech played attacking badminton as they took the bird early and easily pushed their rivals on back foot.
The top seeded Polish shuttlers played with a wonderful control in their attacking shots and they remained successful in building up a comfortable lead until the end of opening half in first game.
After the mid-game break, the impressive Lukasz and Wojciech continued showing their elevated skills without showing any mercy to their Swedish opponent in the whole concluding part and eventually won the set with a stunning margin of 21-13.
The second game was also similar to the previous set as the local shuttlers continued showing their remarkable skills without facing any considerable opposition from their confused opponents who were struggling hard to find a good flow.
Lukasz and Wojciech played killing game and set up a spectacular lead on the board until the end of first half.
After the one-minute break, the lofty Polish shuttlers remained consistent in their positive and aggressive play on court and they did not face any trouble in snatching the set with a punishing difference of 21-10.
Lukasz and Wojciech won this semi-final clash in just 32 minutes with a one-sided 21-13 and 21-10 margin on the board.
