Polish Volley Masters starts in Niechorze – Beach Volleyball News
The Confederation European de Volleyball (CEV) recently conducted a double gender beach volleyball tournament in Serbia, which came to a close on Monday, July 18. The Serbian Volley Masters was a great success and created a grand opportunity for European
duos to catch the limelight. Following the same theme, the 2011 Polish Volley Masters is set to start today, July 19, in Poland. The famous seaside Polish resort, Niechorze, is the field of play for the Polish Volley Maters and the tournament will feature
both women’s and men’s competitions.
The women’s tournament is scheduled to complete its run from July 19 to 23, while the men’s event will be followed by a gap of one day. The men’s matches will start on July 20 and the final round will be played on July 24. Both tournaments will be opened
with the Country Quota playoffs on respective opening days. The second stage of the competition will feature the Qualification Tournaments, while the Main Draw competitions will be played on third day of the tournament. The semi-finals and medal matches will
be played on final day in each category.
24 teams will enter the competition in each gender category.
The local Mayor of the city, Robert Skrabuski, expressed delight regarding the beach volleyball tournament. He commented: “We will also check out our skills and I believe we’ll be paid back for this risk we decided to undertake. I am sure that we will not
disappoint our partners and all those – including CEV – who showed their trust by allotting this event to our small village”.
Poland’s Katarzyna Urban is ready to rumble at the upcoming beach volleyball scrimmage. She shared her thoughts and said, “We have a great venue and everything seems to be well prepared. We hope that we’ll play good and delight our home fans with a great
show. Events organized here in Poland are always great, so if the weather is good, this Polish Masters will be unforgettable”.
The Polish Volley Masters will be a great help for participating players to get ready for the international event in Kristiansand, Norway, next month.
