Polish duo hopes to have a great start in 2012 Beach Volleyball Season
Following a great success in the 2011 Season, the Polish pairing of Grzegorz Fijałek and Mariusz Prudel is ready to carry the same momentum into the next year.
They finished fourth on the 2011 SWATCH FIVB World Tour with a total of 4,720 points.
Overall, the previous season was the best in the history of Polish Beach Volleyball. Polish players bagged a total of 16 medals, which included 6 Gold, 7 Silver, and 3 bronze medals. Prudel and Grzegorz also had their contribution of two silver medals, which
they seized during the SWATCH FIVB World Tour. Individually, Prudel also settled for the award of Most Improved Player in the 2011 season.
Next up, the duo is looking forward to a great start in the 2012 season. The honours that they received in the last year have boosted their morale and they are totally charged up use them for their advantage in the upcoming campaigns. Quite recently, the
Polish Volleyball star Prudel disclosed his thoughts about getting the MIP award and its effects on their performance.
He said, “I was very surprised at the honour. It is for me a very nice summary of the season. This award will give me strength and confidence for next season. I hope that the best is in front of me.”
The statement shows the Prudel is full of ambition and his confidence level is staying high. Both players in the team have great chemistry between them, which easily noticeable when they are on the centre court. They have done a great job to find a place
in the top five teams in the world. None of the other Polish male duos exist in the top-25 teams on the working ranking chart. It is a great honour for Prudel and Grzegorz as a team.
Currently, they are preparing for the first stop of 2012 SWATCH FIVB World Tour, which is scheduled to be kicked off in either Brasilia or Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from April 17 to 22. Prudel and Grzegorz have plans fly to Spanish Island, Tenerife around January
23.
They will be joined by German duos in Tenerife and they will play some friendly matches. It will be a give them a chance for players of both countries to enhance their game skills before the start of regular season. Poles will also have matches with some
of the local teams. Moreover, the Polish tandem will be undergoing extensive practice and training until the start of Brasilia Open.
Both of the players are currently staying fit and enjoying a good form. They have high hopes that the 2012 season will be more successful for them.
