Polish ladies tipped to win the fourth consecutive match of CEV Champions League
Bank BPS Fakro Muszyna, the women’s volleyball team from Poland, is scheduled to open the fourth leg of the 2012 CEV Champions League Prelims on Wednesday, December 21.
They will take on Scavolini Pesaro, who will be visiting from Italy. In the previous three matches of the preliminary round, Polish team staged a flawless performance and did not allow any other team to hinder its performance. They remained undefeated and
finished the third leg of the round with a perfect record of 3-0. By looking at their previous performances and current team set-up, it is easy to judge that they will win the fourth match in row.
The successful coach of Bank BPS Fakro, Bogdan Serwinski, is pleased with the extraordinary performance of his team.
Speaking of overall progress in the preliminaries, he said, “We really enjoy a very good situation for the moment before the last three legs of the League Round. However, we shall go for more positive results as we want to finish first in our group to get
a good draw for the next round.”
Following their great run in the previous matches, Muszyna wants to carry the same momentum into fourth fixture of the campaign. The team is all charged-up to add another win to their count. However, the national champions of Poland will be required to beat
the Italian rival. Scavolini is the second best team in Pool E. They have two victories in the last three matches. They will also try to score their third win in the competition. Pesaro also has a tough competition with Russian of Dinamo Moscow in the group.
Currently, Pesaro is No. 2 in Pool E of 2012 CEV Women’s Champions League. But if they lose the next match to Poland and on the other hand Dinamo Moscow clinches success, Pesaro will lose the second spot. Hence, the Italian team wants to make sure that they
resist to the possible comeback of Dinamo Moscow.
The team is focused to do its best against the resilient rival Muszyna. Serena Ortolani recently shared her thoughts on the coming match.
She said, “We will try to turn the odds around and score a win in Muszyna after losing at home.”
Furthermore, she also added that Muszyna and Pesaro are the two best teams in the group.
The Polish team will have the competitive edge of playing at the home court and home crowd will also be up for the support of their team. Considering these factors, it is hard to speak about Italy’s chances of winning the match.
Bank BPS Fakro has not only proved its metal in the European League matches but they have done an exceptional job in the domestic league matches. They are fully prepared to extend their winning streak in the next challenge. Let’s see who wins the encounter.
