Wolfsburg have signed Klich from Polish club Cracovia for an estimated fee of 1.5 million Euros in this summer’s transfer window. The player had been on the German club’s radar last season but the deal could not take place.
Klich insisted that he is delighted to join Felix Magath’s side and that playing in one of the best leagues in Europe would be a wonderful experience. He admitted that he is eager to prove himself at the highest level and would
relish playing with some of the best players in the world.
“I [am] extremely happy that I signed a contract with VfL. I do not feel weaker than the colleagues of my new club, with whom I meet for the first time on June 24. I believe that I [can] manage the challenge, in a strong German
league,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to the official club website.
The midfielder revealed that he wants to make full use of this opportunity and make his move a success. The player is determined and confident of making an impact and will arrive at the club before the start of the next season.
“I want to seize the opportunity and not follow in the footsteps of some players who wasted their first trip to the west,” he concluded.
Mateusz Klich made 56 league appearances for his boyhood club Cracovia and scored five goals in the process. The 21-year old has also made one appearance for the national side against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841 which the White Eagles won 2-1.
