Polish recipies are in grams why?

im polish but i dont understand the recipies cause they use grams or dekagrams......does every1 have an accurate scale or what... how can i translate it into cups and spoons

Like all sensible people, they use the metric system.

Its called the Metric System. Everyone in the world uses this system of measurements except for United Kindom and good ole US of A. Even UK is considering going to the metric system. I'm sure if you google it you can find a conversion no problem.
