  1. Of course, since I am a waitress too! And I appreciate when people are nice to the waitstaff! But you get people who will just say "just give me a cheeseburger and fries". I work in a diner/restaurant and we have soo much more to offer than a cheeseburger and fries, but sometimes people are in a rut, or they're too lazy to look at the menu.

Being a waitress, you learn a lot about people. Sometimes people act like they're too busy to give an order. I almost think they do it to show off, for what reason, I don't know.

But I do thank you people who are pleasant! We are people too!!!

  2. Polite. There is no reason to be rude.

  3. I'm usually polite when I place any order, I think for people to snap at the waiters or whomever its rude and such.

Sometimes  I watch people whom get to the restaurant the same time as I do and bark and are rude usually have a more wait time and their waiter rolls their eyes.

  4. Definitely you should try or be polite always... and be patient. If you can't stand it better leave the restaurant and cook for your own. =)

  5. I am polite when I order. It always helps, and it just the normal thing to do. Even if I am mad I am polite. You don't need to go overly polite, but a smile, a "please" and a "thank you" is always appreciated and it makes the waiter/waitress happier.

  6. I am always polite unless someone is rude first. But, generally, if I'm out to eat, I'm out to have a good time and will be in a good mood. Plus, if you are nice, you'll get better service (people like helping nice people and won't avoid you because you're mean). I look at the way people treat other people when I judge them. You are only as good as you treat others

  7. I am always polite; their jobs suck.

  8. One should always be polite, no matter where you are.  Folks working at McDonald's are just as valuable as folks working at Ruth's Chris (a very fancy steak restaurant for those who don't have it where they live).  It's not hard to say "please" and "thank you" to the people who've assisted you.

  9. I am always polite, especially to people in the food service industry.

  10. Always very polite.  It does not bode well to alienate the server. And if they are good they are more than compensated for their service.
