Political Correctness gone mad on yahoo! Q & A ?

I ask this because, it seems like you are allowed to ask questions that people will give you obvious answers to - but when using this facility to ask a really interesting question, it all backfires on you, people might report you and you soon fall out of favour with the moderators and so, its the end of ones account.

It seems we have to permit ignorance to breed whilst we keep our minds in-operative from creativty and thus, sacrificing our civil liberties and freedoms. Just because I asked a question about muslim females wearing Veils finding life tough, i get termed a 'racist' - well gotta hand it to that person, cos I could have been branded an 'Islamaphobe' lol.

what a pathetic term deployed on people if ever I saw one. we are living in dark times, be careful not to speak the truth or you might be arrested by the Yahoo! Police! :o

  1. The mudslimes on 'ramadan' r not female..(they r not allowed 2 talk without permission.) This section is run by fanatical rabid islamofacists with multi ID's who wish 2 cr8 ownership and dictatorship of YA! by stifling democratic dissent. The weak point of rabid Wahhabism is it's lack of humour and sense of proportion. Don't give up..keep poking fun and criticising cogently.. and if necessarily phoning/emailing YA! 2 register ur protest.

  2. This is the result of the liberal-socialism experiment gone mad, political correctness gone mad and generaly common sense diminishing by the year.

Post 9/11 and the entire dynamics of the world changed completely. Suddenly the media puts Islam, Terrorism, radical Islam, radical preachers, suicide bombers, etc etc under the spotlight - so much so that regardless of allowing people to formulate and reach their own conclusions and verdicts on the world around them, they got duped and brainwashed in some respects by what was shown to them on all mediums of media.

There is a problem with civil liberties in the UK right now, and there is a huge huge problem with poor administration regarding the influx of immigrants into this country,  when it was happening people like me were noticing it and fearing for a day like today - most ppl turned a blind eye.

If any country got it right, its Australia - it didn't subject its citizens to the complexities of mingling in with anti-social, poorly educated backward minded immigrants especialy those of radical Islamic background, who are h**l bent on destroying our way of life.

Speak out against a certain group of ppl, and you're coined racist.  Try to highlight some of these issues on a discussion board, you get complained at and censored and eventualy banned.

If the terrorist blows up your house and family, he goes to court and gets off lightly.  You lose everything.

This is how the world works im afraid.  and it sucks.

  3. Hunny, it's not even just Yahoo! Police. It's EVERYONE. Actual police. People with heavily paid lawyers and everything! It's so freakin sad. You can't be a Christian in the states anymore because, God forbid, you celebrate Easter at work or take off for Christmas because then you're "leaving all other religions out and making them feel bad." Wtf! It's my belief. You can't be white in Louisiana anymore because then you're either a wigger or a part of the KKK. It's rediculous. I say, f*ck political correctness. It's getting on my last nerve. If you're black and living in the US, I'm not going to call you an African American unless you've actually immigrated here from Africa. Stop being stupid people.

  4. Welcome to reality lass.

Yahoo is a microcosm of society.

  5. I agree with you 100%. If your views are contentious or somewhat leftfield you will be judged by those who are sitting comfortably in their banality, afraid to go out alone in case the "war on terror" gets them and can only go out in packs to consume vast quantities of cheap alcohol. Even at this point all the opinion they can muster between them is some vaguely prejudicial or racist comment about Polish people or deportation for Muslims. Then slink off to their plasma screen TV, watch Jeremy Kyle and Hollyoaks. If I were to raise the subject of releigious clothing or jewellary then my opinions would be that we, as a society should encourage diversity and embrace alternative lifestyles within the UK. It would be really interesting to hear from an individual who wears a burka or a veil and how their life is effected by this. Much more interesting than some of the dross on here! My thoughts are that it is all about education. If you educate people then you reduce ignorance and predjudice.

  6. You win some, you lose some. Don't let it get to you. Remember: it's just the internet. You can turn it off whenever you want and you won't be bothered anymore!

  7. I agree...I asked a question last week about war and human rights and it was removed....but questions about Miley Cyrus are alright. How can we educate the idiots of the world if we cant ask them hard questions

  8. ur my new hero well said ..  people in here take tis place to serious and as for the ones that report  questions etc seriously get a life maybe the next time they post questions like y have i no friends and y people wont stay long in my company we can all have the correct answer to give them
