  1. A lot happened in 1994, as you can see from this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994_in_Sou... but the most important was that in April of that year all South Africans had the chance to vote in a free and fair election.

  2. Free elections are the key to true democracy in south african, or at least that's the impression we want to give the rest of the world. Reality is very different.

    Even though elections in SA are open to all, political figureheads have their own agenda which is contradictory to democracy.
