Okay, I have to say, I notice this more and more in the LGBT section, and I feel a rant is long overdue. People will not speak their minds! "If I straightened my hair, would I be perceived as g*y?" h**l yeah you would! No problem w/the question, just a problem with the answerers. I see people saying african american...which is fine, but they wont even slip and say "black!" Damnit, if I'm not a Euro American then I'm white! Say BLACK! It's not that bad, trust me! My sister dresses like a boy and she's 40 years old, she wears ties and drives a semi...do you think she's g*y? Well, I would say, "Most likely." But a lot of wimps on here say, "no, she just likes dressing like a boy, wearing ties, drawing sideburns on, but no, I'd say that's normal heterosexual woman behavior." haha. I mean seriously. Rub some dirt in it, get dirty, speak the truth! I know most of the answerers to these questions are thinking , "Yeah, you're sister's probably a d**e!"...but they won't say it! So, opinions? Really, answer it w/ a stick up your butt, whatever, just tell me what you think.

  1. ok... are you happy u got that out

not something i cared to read but w/e

  2. I almost always say black people, the only reason you would have to be upset is if you are a self hater or something, not that your guys color is actually black (more of a chocolate brown in general) but that's just what people call you.

Not everyone is the same so just because even you imagine a "d**e" that's the picture you have in your head doesn't mean that a straight girl who is not into girly girl stuff HAS to be a L*****n.

  3. I know what you mean...  it drives me crazy, too.

Personally, I like calling a small pointed garden digging tool a small pointed garden digging tool...  know what I mean?

    lol

  4. Hmm, well I can see where you're coming from although I don't entirely agree. I think that it's important to break free from stereotypes by pointing out that just because a guy may straighten his hair or a woman may dress manly, has nothing to do with sexual orientation. If we keep saying, "Oh yeah, she's definitely g*y since she drives a semi!" that will only hurt us all in the end. I personally think it's wrong to judge someone orientation based on physical attributes. It's hard enough to get people to accept LGBT, we can only do so much but I think it should start with breaking stereotypes.

Now as far as "Black" and "White", I agree with you. I don't think people should be walking on egg shells all the time, fearing that they might call someone the wrong label. I do think people need to be more upfront, but always in a respectful manner of course.

edit-- hehe, no you're not radical. :] I do get what you're saying. It can be annoying when people are to whussy to just say the truth, but...sometimes the truth might be too harsh.

  5. Sometimes we just can't say those things because there's a risk of getting reported.

So it's pretty hard to express what we all really feel.

    =\

  6. I have to agree with you on this one so much.  Political correctness is killing our country.  Whenever I say the word "black" in school, I get those goddamn judgmental eyes, I feel guilty when I shouldn't.  Can't even joke about anything anymore either, no one can take a joke nowadays.

And thanks for the honest answer in my other question, it was a little harsh, but sometimes the truth can be harsh.  I appreciate it.

  7. u wanna knwo my honest opinion about u?

i think u r nothing but a low life who has nothing better to do than gossip about other people.. u sound pretty much like the old lady around my block who does nothing but stand by her window screaming and babbling at any1 that walks by

  8. You may wish to call it 'politically correct', however, others may wish to call it 'respectful', 'mannerly', etc...  Do you recall the movie...A Few Good Men...when Jack Nicholson was on the stand and he was being badgered by Tom Cruise who was insisting on 'the truth'?  Nicholson finally broke with the statement, "You can't handle the truth!"  I'd say you CAN handle the truth, however, there are 'others' online who read the answers who 'cannot handle the truth'...when it's 'in your face'...  So, don't get upset...just chalk it up to the 'rest of the gang'...
