Question:

Politically speaking, why do questions challenging Obama get reported and deleted?

Can Obama supporters go a day without reporting questions that's not in violation? I challenged two of my questions and won my points back. Answers said they will lose influence in the community.

Why do Obama supporters report questions just because they disagree?

  1. You are so right! If you question any of Obama's less than honorable ties, like Rezko, Ayers, Sinclair, Wright or farrakhan be sure to see a violation notice in your inbox! I'm sooo happy you actually won your appeal! The left wing needs to find something stronger to put in their Kool Aid if they can't take any criticism of their messiah!!!!!!btw I'm sure y/a will delete this too!!!!Facists!!!!!!

  2. Its a group censorship effort..

    The system is automatic.

if 1 "trusted reporter " or I believe 2 or 3 others report a question the system deletes it automatically. All you can do is appeal the deletion and the question should be restored.. If a group of people are reporting valid questions that get restored... YA is supposed to have thier reporting status diminished in some capacity.. I tend to doubt that ever happens though

What bothers me is there is never a detailed explanation of why your question or answer is in violation.

  3. Are you answers/questions appropriate? If so maybe they just really like Obama and don't want negatives about him out there.

  4. Well he is after all "The Chosen One",The "Obamassiah" How can you criticize him.

Even he says he's the Chosen One,"A light will Shine down, and you will have an Epiphany and you will say,I have to Vote for Barack"  Barack Obama

  5. you must be trying to get banned. been there.

  6. If you look on any 5 pages of elections you will find 15 bashing and challenging Obama.

  7. Anyone who supports Obama can't take the negative truths about him.  And did you ever notice the irritating spell checker (Irritating because the people who should use it, don't) on Yahoo doesn't like the word "Obama"?  Flags it everytime.  Glad you fought and won!  Good job doozer, good job!

  8. Technically asking rhetorical questions, ones where you post an answer within in your question, would seem to be a violation of community guidelines.  Either you want other peoples views on something or you don't., and if you don't the question has no business being asked.

  9. I haven't notice this. I'm an Obama supporter, and I think it is very important to see all questions, regardless of whether they are in favor of McCain or Obama. You see? I'm a liberal, and I don't want any questions censored- everything needs to be out there for everybody to see. If it is not, then it is impossible for people to be well informed, and everybody should be extremely well informed before casting a vote in the upcoming elections.

  10. I used to think there was an organized effort by Obama supporters but I have had several questions that simply never made it onto the board and never had an opportunity to be answered.  Yahoo staff may be playing a role..

  11. It's what they do instead of coming up with sensible answers or explanations.   I think reporting just because you disagree is cowardly.  I rarely report, and it's only when the profanity has gone far beyond the limit of insulting speech and adult content  At least they responded to your challenges.  I have never won an appeal even on the most benign questions and answers.

  12. It happens on both sides. Been there, too

  13. Freedom of speech is only accepted as long as it goes with majority the wave of beliefs and ideals.

  14. i don't, so please don't try to lump an entire group of people into a few bad eggs. As an Obama supporter, I have often had some of my answers reported when I didn't break any rules, so you shouldn't act the victim, because there will always be a few idiots in either side that makes everyone look bad.

  15. That is a double edged sword.  I have had at least 3 questions of mine regarding McCain deleted, after the questions were resolved.
