  1. She may seem arrogant but she is just being direct, rather than blunt & arrogant, with the so called entrepreneurs. In reality she is supposed to be a nice lady, so various interview reports have stated. She rescues cats from the RSPCA and alike rescue centres so she can't be that bad.

Quote Rebecca Hardy Daily Mail ' I'm sure she's as tough as old boots in business, but the woman sitting beside me is gentler than I expect, all softened up in grey cashmere and blonde highlights. I soon suspect this shrewd business head sits on marshmallow-soft shoulders. She rarely raises her voice at work, knows the names of all her employees' kids  -  and their birthdays, too. At her Georgian home in Somerset, three of her horses are rescue animals and the cat is from the RSPCA. '

She does invest in those that appear on the show she has done so on many occasions. Statistically she was the dragon who invested the most for 2 seasons, she doesn't make a song and dance about it as she claims .

Anyway she's worked her backside of to get where she is today so good on her.

Rachel Elnaugh did own Red letter days but it fell into financial trouble the administration of which Theo and Peter  rescued it before it joined the long list of Good British failed companies.(http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/200...

Duncan Bannatyne is a generous nice guy who by being a person with a strong Glaswegian accent is deemed frightening yet he is quite the opposite yet doesn't take any c**p just like any decent businessman.

James caan is a quite kind of guy yet very good at business but not as generous.

I recommend to anyone to read each of the dragons books as they are very interesting especially Duncan's Anyone one can do it. I can't wait for Deborah's book to hit the shelves should it come out as planned in April 2009.

  2. No, not really I just think she's wasting her time on the show because she never invests!

  3. i dissagree sunshine, she should be on bulldog's den.

  4. I think they all are, to be fair some of the people maybe deserve the treatment they get, but I would never laugh in someones face because of a stupid business idea or shoddy presentation

  5. They all can afford to be arrogant.

  6. It depends. Sometimes the "budding entrepreneurs" run other successful companies and expect her and the other Dragons to invest in a project they could well afford to fund themselves.

Other times, the company that is inviting the investment, does not own all the patents etc - that belongs to another Company etc.

Maybe you're not meant to like the Dragons, just respect them for their business acumen to have go so far.

  7. Me and my boyfriend were having this very conversation last night. I think she can be very rude. The olive oil guy was a perfect example.

She does not have to speak to people like she does. And when she declairs herself out, I HATE the head wobble that goes on and the horrid pouting.

Yes, I do find her rude.

  8. Red Letter Days did not go bust, it is owned by Theo Paphitis and I think Peter Jones. Peter Jones mentioned Red Letter Days in last weeks programme and I'm sure he said he joint owned it with Theo. Deborah Meaden is the weak spot on the programme, she dips out quickly, always finds obscure problems with the product or the pitch and never gives a real explanation why. If looks could kill they'd be removing bodies by the van load.

Two best are James (sits at one end) and Peter Jones (sits at the other end), but that's just my opinion. Peter Jones doesn't suffer fools gladly, that's what makes some people think he is a bit sharp with the punters.

  9. Shes my least favourite dragon, I do find her quite rude and abrupt, I think it's just that most of the others have a little more charm

  10. The reason shes so nasty is that she owned a business called 'Red letter Days'....which is her claim to fame...It went bust...thats it...

  11. Yup! I was thinking that when it was on last night.

    =]

  12. Not at all. I think she is a shrewd businesswoman, Unlike yer man Duncan Bannatyne - I find him extremely rude, quite uncalled for at times, but I guess it does make good tv.

Note to previous answerer: I don't think Deborah owned Red Letter Days, I think it was the previous female dragon (can't remember her name though),

  13. your just jealous of her success ;)

  14. Yes definitely, me and my boyfriend always comment on how evil she is!

  15. arrogant or not she is laughing all the way to the bank.

  16. I agree - she's on the right show DRAGONs Den - she's a right old arrogant Dragon!
