I know a guy at our town hospital that stands by the ticket machine in a peaked cap and high-vis jacket.

  When cars stop at the barrier on the way in it seems to be his job to take the ticket out of the machine (which you can reach if he wasn't standing in the way) and hand it to you.

On the way out -he does the same - even though you can reach it!

WTF ??

A jobsworth?  I had to look that up and YES, people like that annoy me.  It's an ego booster for people with no self esteem!

I cant stand those jumped up, petty little Hitlers,  my boss is one, and he is so much of a jobsworth, i think the word was invented especially for him!!!! its a good job i rarely see him, although even a note from him can send me into a blind rage!!!! his favourite sentence is " i cannot allow you to do that" and he walks around with a freaking clipboard (needlessly) AAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

They're irritating aren't they!

Other half parked his car in a space where you can stop for up to 10 mins to do 'drop offs' at a local shop.

He saw a parking warden, made eye contact with them but knew his car was safe.

Came out after 2 mins, ticket smacked on car.   When he asked the warden why, he was shown a "This bay is out of action" message scribbled on a piece of manky card and tied 7ft high up a lampost.  He asked why the warden didn't say anything as he saw him park and was told "It's not my job".  Argh!!!!

yes i cant stand them! we have one at work and she is so far up the bosses a** i am surprised he can open his bowels, trouble is she takes on so much she makes major mistakes then tries to pass the buck to us minions beneath her it infuriates me

The city centre where I live you can park free after 6pm.

Little sad fat ugly jobsworths patrol the car park at 5.59 pm looking for people who have not bought a ticket.
