I haven't licked

an envelope in a long time.  I use a damp sponge or washcloth.  Glue sticks are for crafters.

l**k it from left to right, them straight back to the middle, and fold it. Then rub it hard, so it sticks.

I use the self adhesive envelopes. After that report they had about how people were getting sick, come to find out rats were falling into the glue barrels and they drowned no one would find them until the barrel was empty. I'm sure one barrel of glue would cover hundreds of thousands of envelopes. No wonder the glue tasted terrible...YUCKY

Absolutely just like the envelope! What's the point of pulling out the glue stick and just taking an extra unnecessary step? It's really not that bad so why would you use glue anyway?

Sadly, I rarely send much by mail these days, and when I do, the envelopes are all self-sealing.

...so I just have to find other things to l**k in order to console myself...

Niether I go to the to the kitchen sink and make my index finger wet and wipe it on the envolope. When I was younger I'd l**k it but now I think it's plain nasty also when the people open the envolope..eww
