Yes, it is funny. I don't think they intended for anything inflammatory.

I thought it was thoughtless and offensive. Like Mr. W said, this would never be acceptable in USA.... Again, very offensive.

Yeah, it's funny. I think people are over-reacting here. The stretching of the eyes to appear Asian could be taken as a positive gesture, too. It doesn't appear to me that they meant "Chinese people look funny". More like, "when in China". I don't know. I'm not Asian, but maybe we don't have to jump to the negative conclusion every time.

in the USA this is always a derogatory gesture, even if I was really good friends with a Chinese person for like 20 years I would never think of doing this to them, never
