  1. Take them out, leave them in. I don't care either way.

  2. If people want to take out the "under God" part that doesn't particularly bother me...my belief in God is not contingent upon the Pledge of Allegiance.

However, if someone tries to suggest that we do the pledge salute in the same the way it was done prior to WWII, I might have some issues with that! Why? Because it was done in a "Hitler" salute style!

    Here's a thought....

why do people get up in arms about the "under God" part of the Pledge, but yet no one questions the "and justice for all" part when it's clear that for MANY people in this country, there is not justice for all.

  3. i love it i hate the america part tho-

  4. You know, we used to say the pledge of allegiance in class all the time as a kid. I just said it. It was just words.

  5. I don't agree with it. Our country was based on religious freedom yet they are still trying to include christianity in school :/ I'm atheist so i refuse to say the pledge in class, people get mad at me but it's freedom of speech. I think they should change it. I heard there for a while they were seriously considering taking that part out, or am i wrong?

  6. I think that if the government wants to claim that they are under God, that they should act like it.

  7. I think that they should stay in the pledge, 'cuz one day judgment day will come and God will ask the people who wanted it to be taken out why they wanted it out & they will not be able to explain their actions & will more than likely go to h**l & I don't want to be a part of that group.  And really are "One Nation Under God, Indevisable, With Liberty, And Justice For ALL"

  8. I think people make too much of the "under God" part and take those words too seriously/literally.  Also, they are tunneling in on those words alone and not the overall message the Pledge of Allegiance is meant to have.  Not the part they choose to focus on that isn't the point.

To me, it's no different if someone wanted to pick out one passage in the Bible and focus on two words only - rather than the overall message of human values and morality they hope people would have on this earth.

  9. I think it's awesome!!! Our founding fathers believed in God, and they made it clear. The Liberals, and whoever else it is out there, want to cover it up, and I think it's ridiculous.

    God bless America :)

  10. I feel good cause thats reminds me that God is watching us...

  11. negative god can care less about the govt, or the flag for that matter
