He is almost 9 months and we have yet to get ANY teeth!

He officially stopped sleeping through the night this week and was up 8 times last night, so I thought maybe we would have something this morning...but no...not even a bud.

I'm convinced he is going to look like my great grandfather forever.

(I'm glad you got to the bottom of Johnny's fevers!!)

  2. My oldest cut 4 over night right before he turned one. My daughter and younger son cut one tooth at a time starting at 6 months. And now my youngest daughter is cutting teeth (none has pushed thru yet but her gums are swollen).

None of them ever had a fever or ear infections. Their Dr. maintains that fevers are not connected to cutting teeth but the ear infections. And the ear infections could be from the eustation tubes not draining properly because of the extra saliva.

Either way...he should be feeling better now huh?

  3. it is hard to say because they can cut many at at time, but than they receed just before they pop up. My daughter started teething at 3 months and had a mouth full by a year and a half. My son is almost a year and a half and only has 6.

My daughter would cut lots at a time. 4 in one weekend would be pretty painful! I remember when my wisdom teeth were coming in and I realized why babies cried. It hurts!

  4. My oldest cut 5 teeth within a 2-3 day period, I'll never forget that weekend.

I bet Johnny feels MUCH better now!  : )

  5. Well from the time Emma turned nine months old until now she has cut SIX TEETH!  Top two...two days later...bottom two...next day bottom left...two days later top left.

    Glad it is over!

PS She also got an ear infection during all of this.

  6. Wow! My daughter would only cut 2 at a time. I'm sooo glad Johnny's doing much better! And happy belated birthday! Celebrate your birthday AND him getting his teeth. LOL

  7. Three molars all at once. She went off like a fire siren - I had her in the backpack and assumed I'd somehow managed to hit her head on something! I don't know why it was so sudden, I guess that was the point when one of them tore through a sore bit.

  8. When she was 7 months it was two teeth that came in.  That was a month ago and now for the last week it has been the same. She is waking at night crying, slight fever, screaming before bed etc. I am waiting for new teeth,  they should be soon the way this week has been. Glad to hear your little one is happy again- weird how it goes. My birthday was friday- I spent it pretty much the same as you (happy birthday by the way)!

  9. My 15 month old... has a four teeth that have just popped through all at once.. which brings his total teeth to 16.

Oh .. it's been a reeeeeeaaaaaalllllllyyyyy fun weekend.

*edit* I just laughed at myself becuase of the typo.. "has a four teeth" Geesh. Is that my italian side coming out? =)

  10. My 16 month old is currently working on 9- yes count them NINE- teeth.

I took her to the pediatrician for ...I didn't know what.

Fevers on and off, no sleep, generally out of sorts and not herself, and when he pried her mouth open, we figured it out quickly.

And she is a hard teether, always has trouble like I have never seen before. Her gums are swollen to the level of her existing teeth, there are blood blisters, ugh. When she got her second set (because she has never gotten just one tooth) she ended up in the hospital thanks to a fever over 105 (worried about seizures) and we had her checked by a dentist (impacted? jaw disorder?) but ...she just has a baaaaaaaaad time.  I thought the second time was the worst but oh,...

    nine.  :(

She actually has to take a prescription pain med. Wasn't touched by my tylenol/ibuprofen/chamomile routine.

The good news is, when these are through, we are done with teething for her until molars time (getting the pre-molars as we speak).

  11. My little girl is 11 weeks old and she has about 3 teeth coming in right now. Poor girl, she cried so hard last time, I felt so bad!

  12. You poor things! Glad to hear he's doing better. Ian only has his 2 bottom teeth right now, but they both came in one at a time with a few months in between. The first one popped in and we didn't even know he was teething! The 2nd one came in in one day and it was torture on all  of us! Those top two are ready to come in...I think he's been teething for 2 months now and I can just now see the little lumps on his gum..still no white!
