  1. if he married the queen he would be the king i think

  2. It really depends on denomination and tradition. But I think Hollywood is on target for the most part. I only say most part because there may be traditions depending on location that would prevent such a marriage altogether.

But in most cases government rank will take precedence over religious rank.

In America if a Deacon hooks up with a Queen then some very awesome music is created but that's another story :)

  3. He wouldn't be a King.  A King outranks a Queen, and if the Queen is a reining sovereign, then her husband can't be King.

She could, however, be a dutchess.  However, it doesn't stop her from remaining Queen. Queen Elizabeth, for example, has many other titles in addition to her Queen title.

  4. I know no matter what title is given the deacon he will always be the loyal servant to his QUEEN!

  5. It would not automatically change their titles at all. The Queen would probably create some title for her husband (e.g. Elizabeth II of the UK gave her husband the title "Duke of Edinburgh") but she wouldn't have to.

A duchess is the wife of a duke, so marrying a deacon couldn't possibly make a queen into a duchess.

  6. A Queen is a Queen...she can never be a Dutchess!

A Deacon will be the Queen's consort if he marries here with no power of course, cos the Queen hold the purse!

    Give me your wallet Deacon!

  7. who cares- let them have nice time

  8. A deacon is a lay-ranking below that of priest in the Roman Catholic and Anglican Church as well as a position of authority similar to that of elder in many Protestant churches.

Deacons might take up the offering on Sunday morning, greet parishioners at the church door, and help with whatever charitable duties the local church undertakes--visiting the sick, helping in soup kitchens,  transporting the elderly to church, and so forth.  The ecclesiastical title of deacon has absolutely nothing to do with the the nobility or aristocracy in any country and has been a title given to annointed Christians from the earliest days of the Church.  Stephen, one of the first deacons, was stoned by St. Paul while he was still a persecution of Christians by the name of Saul.

Perhaps you mean duke?   Elizabeth II is married to Prince Philip who also holds the title of Duke of Edinburgh.
