  1. I would have to say umpires...I can think of many games where I don't recall a single controversial call by an umpire.  But one of the facts of post-expansion baseball is that you have guys in the bigs now who would still be in AA twenty years ago.  

    Of the last 10 games I have seen, I can remember only one "blown" umpire call, but at least 7-8 mental mistakes by players.


  2. I mean really its pretty low on both sides, Though Jacob has already made base running mistakes

    Also the umpires are using judgement call"  so i guess it depands how you look at it.

  4. Easily the Umpires. You may disagree with a judgement call, but you seldom see a mental error.

    With players, you see the mental mistakes all the time. Fogeting the # of outs, where players are on the bases, not running out a play, etc. You don't have to look far.

  5. Umpires definitely. They are both trained really well but playing baseball is very mental.
