  1. The tooth fairy does not have centuries of documentation and people backing it up. Besides I have never seen anyone die over the tooth fairy. People have died for their convictions concerning Christianity for centuries.....Hope this helped...God bless you !

  2. No, children believe in the tooth fairy and because they are children they are justified in holding childish beliefs.  Many christians are adult and they have no logical justification for holding childish beliefs.

  3. Question for non-christians?  Then what's the point of the poll?

The tooth-fairy, Zeus and the Great Pumpkin are all stories and they are presented as such.  Most people knew they were stories, and never seriously thought they were real.

Jesus is presented as real and non-fiction.  So, the task for non-Christians would be to prove that he was fiction.  So, you would have to somehow discredit the four separate eyewitness accounts in the bible, come up with an explanation as to why so many people sacrificed their lives in the belief of Jesus (I don't know of any martyrs for the tooth fairy, Zeus or the Great Pumpkin) and explain why thousands of New Testament texts were written and recopied compared with other stories (like the Illiad).

    Myths were presented as stories.

  4. I am a Christian, but I'd like to answer your question anyway. There is accepted proof among historians that the historical figure of Jesus did actually exist.  So, therefore, the question comes down to "Do you believe in the teachings of the historical Jesus", which of course is a personal choice, but there is certainly more evidence for Christianity than the tooth fairy.  Good luck with the report.

  5. I think the tooth fairy makes even more sense.  The tooth fairy doesn't carry as much guilt and other baggage as Xianity does.

  6. No, Is believing in Christianity about equal to being schizophrenic and seeing things that arn't really there.

  7. *drink*.  Welcome newbie.  However it is better to observe some before trying to be too clever.  You just wind up looking dorky.

  8. No, as Christianity is not seen as an age-transistional belief.

  9. No

Writing a report about delusions and myths? Stick with things that are widely accepted as delusion or myth. Don't try and be witty with your banter against God-believing people.

  10. Why do you hate God?  Is it because you do not want to change your wicked lifestyle?  It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

  11. Great question, lady. Truly original and thought-provoking. You should write a book.

  12. No. Religion gives people emotional comfort, social opportunities etc. I'm not religious but religion has served an important function for our species otherwise it wouldn't be universal to all tribes and races.

  13. Yes.

  14. Yes.  Religion is just mass delusion.  If one person has an imaginary friend then they have to see a psychiatrist.  How is a group of people having one and believing he controls everything any better?

  15. You're so smart you don't even know you're comparing apples to oranges. Typical atheist.

  16. It's much more far fetched to believe in Christianity - there is evidence of the tooth fairy under most children's pillows

  17. Of course, this is a question mainly for non-christians as I already know the answer a christian would give :)>>>>

Then this is not a poll, it is an insult you're looking to get congratulated on by your peers....My mistake too, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding., however as the others have said, Christianity is a real religion. Belief in a God itself is a totally other matter.

  18. Jesus is the tooth fairy...

  19. I think you should change the word christianity to god. Christianity is a real religion. But the god they worship (along with any other god) is about as believable as the tooth fairy. Ive actually gotten money from believing in the tooth fairy though. Believing in god just got me the opposite.

  20. No, because the tooth fairy is a created being!

  21. Not really, because the tooth fairy hasn't been disproven, like the Christian god has.

That answer down below cracks me up.  He says there were eyewitnesses in the bible of Jesus' miracles... Teeheehee.  The circular logic of you people astounds me.  That's like saying Harry Potter is real because Hagrid talked to him all the time.

Newsflash, brainiac... you can't use the bible to prove the bible.

  22. Richard Dawkins once said, If someone were to tell you that there was a spaghetti monster floating around the moon, would you believe it because it could not be disproved?

  23. Christian:  "No it's completely different."

Non-believer:  "Yes, same delusion." (or something equivalent)

:::yawn::: same bashing, different day.  At least be original.

EDIT: ibsmith, did the God-fearing people hold you up at gunpoint and steal it, or did you voluntarily donate it? Big difference.

  24. No at least the tooth fairy leaves some money under your pillow.

  25. My answer is no.  And you DON'T know if I am a christian or non-christian.

  26. no its more ridiculous because the tooth fairy is a plausible story

  27. I have seen monetary evidence of the tooth fairy

3 centuries of tooth fairy evidence.

At one time in Europe, there was a tradition to bury baby teeth that fell out. Some academics hold that the Tooth Fairy evolved from the tooth mouse depicted in an 18th century French language fairy tale. In "La Bonne Petite Souris," a mouse changes into a fairy to help a good queen defeat an evil king by hiding under his pillow to torture him and knocking out all his teeth.

Evidence of the Jesus outside the bible.

    Zero.

  28. No because the tooth fairy isn't real, plus she only offers you money. Jesus is real and he offers you ever lasting life.

  29. Yes and no.  The tooth fairy has less written about it so it only takes a small amount of belief.  The god character takes a lot of programing and indoctrination to belief.

  30. Just a few people who believe Christianity:-

Dr John Polkinghorne KBE, Quantum Theory lecturer

    Professor Alister McGrath,  Biophysicist.

Professor Norman Nevin OBE,  Medical geneticist.

Tooth fairy?   I rather think not

Please, in your report utilise better syntax

  31. The tooth fairy gave me money

The god fearing people took it
