That's a tough one! I'm part Italian and have never been there, and plus they have great food. But spain looks beautiful particulary Majorca, I think there's hotter guys in Spain, so It's a toss up!!

I have already visited Spain and really liked it a lot, it is a wonderful country, but I would go to Italy because I have not been there yet...and I love Italian food!!!

I've been to both, i preferred Italy less commercialised and the food was amazing.

thats tough because in Spain you have beaches and the night life and all of these cultural differences and all of these crazy buildings! and in Italy, its just romantic period and theres also tons of things to do there too. I'd say Italy because not as many people travel there.... and I travel the road less traveled.

I feel like if i went to Spain, i'd just be living in a touristy area.

Well... they are pretty close so if you cane, I think you should visit both...

I am Italian, so it is natural to suggest you to come in Italy. However it depends on your preferences and in what period you want to come.

In Italy you have everything in one country: you can find art and history, beautiful cities all around the country, good food everywhere (not in tourist restaurants...),you can find beautiful beaches in Sardinia, Puglia, Sicily, Liguria.. you can find also the nightlife during the summer  if you go in Sardinia, o in Costiera Amalfitana or in Rimini or in Liguria.

But I've been many times in Spain and it is very beautiful too,but Barcellona it is now a too commercialized place. I like much more Valencia and the South.
