It has to be the T-20 WC. India- Pak in a world cup final and India winning the finals. The best part is that it was a really close match which had a nail biting finish...It kept everyone glued till the end.

All of these have their own importance with respect to the time period and kind of sports.

In 1983 World Cup, India were the underdogs. Don't view cricket of that time in the same angle as it is today. That win has changed the sporting ideas and dreams of Indians.

Bindra's Olympic gold is special. But other than the euphoria surrounding, it is going to change absolutely nothing.

T-20 win will never match the 1983 win. It is farcical to compare T-20 win & 1983 WC win.

India were the undisputed king of Hockey. So how is hockey World cup win is special?

this Q is not purely related to cricket however i will answer the Q,

India have ruled world hockey for 4 decades by winning 8 gold medals in olympics , i would rate that as the best of the best.
