[Poll] Shonen or Shoujo Romance?

Between the two, I would *much rather* watch/read Shonen romance.  Although, I have read/seen some Shojo romance which I have liked.  If I might take this one step further (I think you knew this was coming), I would love to read/watch Yaoi!

I must be weird, but I have always preferred watching/reading Seinen or Shonen even though I am a female (have been mistaken for a guy because of my avatar).  But, we all like what we like and that is fine.  Life is more fun that way, with all of us liking different genres of Anime & Manga.  It makes for interesting and lively conversations.

Shojo

I think the ecchi in shonen romances (like zero no tsukaima for example) can be too overbearing. I mean seriously, who wants to watch a show where every 3 seconds there's a panty shot or a guy having a nosebleed over a set of unhumanly large breast? lol. I mean, I love zero no tsukaima (as well as many other shonen anime), but not for the romance in them.

This is a hard question.

Truthfully I'm not a huge fan of either.

Shojo can be a bit too sappy and overly dramatic.

I don';t consider myself a feminist but I dislike when a girl is so obsessed over a guy, it's like she can't live without him.

Meanwhile, in Shonen, it takes forever for something to happen.

Guy likes girl, girl likes guy, 200 episodes pass, guy likes girl, girl likes guy, nothing has happened between them yet.

I'll take josei or seinen, over shojo or shonen any day.

oh and shoujo and only shoujo i like only if it is yaoi ... but there are some normal shoujo that are captivating ...

How come nobody ever includes seinen or josei in these?  It's also shounen vs shoujo. =(

If it was just shounen or shoujo, I would choose shoujo.  Romance in shoujo anime/manga does get annoying/predictable sometimes though (OMG HE PICKED UP A BOOK I DROPPED!  >////< Two guys are fighting over me, who should I choose?) and there doesn't seem to be _that much_ romance in shounen anime/manga.

If it was between shounen, shoujo, josei, seinen, I would probably choose seinen (ef, Kanon, Clannad, FMP, etc).  It seems like there's only like... 10 josei anime series.  Something like that, I don't know if it's just me but there doesn't seem to be a lot of josei anime out there.  But I do really like Honey & Clover and Nodame Cantabile.

Shoujo definetly. And you can get ecchi in shoujo too, ecchi just refers to light p**n like panty shots and some kissing and stuff.

Edit- but if you really want stuff like hentai go with s**t/mature manga thats what id go with, so id take s**t over shoujo/shounen anyday oh and josei is good too
