Poll: Which is the best breed -- Golden Retriever, Irish setter or Labrador Retriever?

It is hard for me to choose between the Golden & the Labrador Retriever.  They are both smart dogs with very nice dispositions.  

It all depends on your situation.  If you have kids, you might want to go with the Golden Retriever.  It seems like a family type of dog.  Although, Labs are really great with kids, as well.

Me...I would probably go with the Lab.  I had a lab 10 years ago.  She was a nice dog and she was really smart.  However, she died of a hip disease at 10 years old.  

That is the bad thing about these larger breeds...they do not live very long compared to the small dogs.
