When you're willing to get up at an ungodly hour to put food on the table. To get a second job, if necessary, to make sure your kids don't go without. To make personal sacrifice for the greater good of your family. To do what is necessary, when things are tough, shows strength of character....it's just my opinion. :)

With no doubt in my military mind, I think of John McCain.  He could have easily left early, being an Admiral's son - THE ADMIRAL in charge of the fleet in Vietnam actually.  He could have been ransomed out for all manner of things and he would have been home in a week, but without character.  Last night I was reminded that most of us start out life with little character until something challenges us to find our definition and forms our perspective on what character means to us, individually.  

John McCain deserves to be President of this country more than any other American before or since; I just hope that he is able to attain that title and once again use his character to better his country.
