Poll: bliss or memories ?

Question

If you could spend one year in perfect happiness but afterward would remember nothing of the experience would you do so? If not, why not?

Which is more important: actual experiences, or the memories that remain

when the experiences are over?

Bliss is not life. You need stress to experience achievment.

Memory in the cause of sadness and pain and suffering.  This is a prime example.  After experiencing bliss, the memory of it and that we do not have it now, causes suffering.  If there was no memory of it then there would be no suffering of losing bliss. And with others the memory of bliss would be better than trying to find bliss again. All in all, memory is a bad thing in this case.

The actual experience has to happen before any memories can be made, so the experience itself is more important.The memory is just an extension of the experience, tainted with bliss or sorrow, depending on the event and how we might have perceived it. It's funny how we look at the good aspects of an experience that seemed ordinary at the time. Bad experiences we try to shove out of our minds or push back in time. The further back the memory, the more it becomes distorted to how it really happened. We might see it completely different, or opposite, to how it really happened. Bottom Line: Enjoy those memories of days gone by for they compose a lot of who we are, and share them with people who lived those memories with you, and tell them to people who share many of their own.

Actually, this is a "false dilemma."

Memories proceed from bliss experiences,

and bliss experiences are deepened by memories.

In both categories, those blissful experiences and memories rise in soulfield coherence, and become part of one's "treasures in Heaven."
