  1. Of course! There's nothing we Aussies like more then to see them hit our shores when cricket time is here.Last time they were here they were featured on several TV shows & I enjoyed their light hearted banter & songs. They are always welcome in Australia.

  2. no

  3. i simply love them, they are all lovely people, who want to have fun and create cheer among the players, spectators and everyone around!

    regards!

  4. Why not

    I like them.......

  5. Yes I like this too. Some of them are hooligans - but really on the whole, they make live rugby, cricket matches so much more vibrant. I loved the Telecom ads in 2005 for the Lions Tour of NZ in the WW11-themed "The Barmy Army are coming!."

  6. Although I intensely dislike the whole concept of 'barracking', the Barmy Army is simply wonderful.   Their presence is always benign, there is never a nasty incident, and, particularly during a lengthy Test Match when little of importance is happening, they are really entertaining.

  7. I reckon there the best.

I wish Sri Lanka had support like that.

  8. they are annoying.

  10. I LOVE em too!!

I was mixed inbetween the "Barmy Army" when i went to watch England a couple of weeks ago.

Honestly that was the most FUN i have ever had watching cricket!! The "Barmy Army" make watching England lose, FUN! England were getting pummelled by SA when i went, but all the stand was still chanting!! and getting on the players side!!

We literally sung "Michael Vaughan my lord" and "oh Monty Monty" for the whole time they batted (which for Vaughan wasnt very long)

Anyway the "Barmy Army" is the greatest support group, in any sport around the world.

  11. YES

  12. Yes; for one reason, they are ardent supporters of England cricket team.

  13. no.

  14. h**l yeah.

They get $3.00 to the pound.

I wish we could come up with good chants like that.

  15. They add a lot of atmosphere to the cricket.

I love the way they still sing even when England are losing!

I bet the beer sellers love' em too!

  16. Nothing better than an Ashes match listening to them chanting-"Barmy Army,We Are The Barmy Army"...

Their chants are great.I dont think their is any Aussie who could say they cant stand hearing their chants at one of our matches..

It makes a boring match exciting and also funny.

  17. yes I do....................

they just support their team no matter what............

  18. No....i remember them @ a boxing match when Floyd Mayweather whoop Ricky Hatton azz to the floor..all the sudden the Americans started to throw beer bottles @ the Barmy Army...that will be the most memorable thing about the Barmy Army in Las Vegas....i think.

Of course, i don;t like them or love them but, i see them as fans like other cricket countries will have...

  19. Yes! Their songs about Jesse Ryder are simply genius!

  20. I like them. But I hate their chant, it's annoying, it doesn't mean anything. It certainly doesn't intimidate the opposition, though I'm sure it sometimes helps the England team to know they have good support.

The majority are good fun and are there for a good time. But there are some who are only there to get drunk and cause trouble, throwing beer at people and screaming at people who won't join in their abuse of the opposition (which happened the last time I went to Lord's), the hooligans irritate me.

  21. yes they support in every situation...

  22. Everyone does!! No matter how good or how badly England is losing - they'll just keep on singing and cheering - they're a great bunch!!
