Poll~ don't you just absolutely hate it when you are in a restaurant & your main meal comes out right after ?

they bring out your appetizer? don't you think they should give you time to eat your appetizer before they bring your main dish?

I eat really fast, that rarely happens to me. I hate when people BLOW THEIR NOSE when I am eating though.

Yes, I hate that! I also hate when they try to take your plate and you are still eating.

I don't think its a big deal. I prefer my entree to come out right after my appie...so Im not sitting around waiting.

And about the comment above me: Servers try to take your plate away if it looks like your done because shift leaders are on them to keep the tables tidy and remove any dirty dishes asap. So if it looks like your finished, and your not, just be thankful that your server is trying to look after you so well.

It annoys me greatly when my soup shows up right before my meal. I almost always say, take my meal back and keep it hot till Im done with the soup.

And as someone else noted...about taking away the plate...Ive gone to the restroom, and returned to find my plate, drink, AND newspaper, or magazine I was reading, GONE.

i dont mind that nearly as much as when they bring out the salad and the entree at the same time.  wtf is that?

Yes that is very annoying, i also like a salad before my meal, they will bring everything within minutes.  Then I always have to take everything home.  Plus you figure they would see that there is no room on the table for everything.

That only seems to happen in the U.S. Most other countries you have to wait forever to your main meal. That's why I love Mexico. Now they know how to handle customers.

I'm guessing you folks are dining in lower quality restaurants.

I would like to suggest dining in higher quality restaurants. The servers are taught to course you meals. Nothing is brought out until the previous course is finished. Casual dining restaurants just want to get you in and out. In fine dining we like to coddle and pamper you.

dude, i totally hate that c**p. it doesn't matter id its a casual dinning place or a 5 star place, you should be given the time to eat you salad/soup/appetizer before they bring out you main meal.
