The matrix is a perfect example if you read between the lines , also the little buddha with keanu reeves as protagonist too ! Joan of arc , ect ...do you think less violence more spirituality would give something to think to the masses ?

  1. Never saw The Matrix, but I did see The Passion, as others have mentioned, and yes, it did have an impact on me. The only other time I saw an audience so somber at the end of a movie was when I went to see Schindler's List.

I also saw the Joan of Arc movie that they did on TV back in the '90s. That really had an impact on me, too. I usually don't watch such serious movies, though.

  2. give an example.. there are so few these days. And most spiritual content is weird liberal faux spirituality.

But I must admit the Passion movie was very moving.

Was about the only time in my life I seen an entire theater audience stay seated throughout the credits not saying a word.

  3. No. I'm not a religious or spiritual person. If a movie is subliminally spiritual, I tend to miss the signs.

  4. to answer your first question, no.  no impact whatsoever.  I don't support Disney crapola either.

  5. honestly it depends on the movie. if it is a movie about my religion maybe if it is about say buddah no it has no good impact on me whatsoever.

  6. The Passion of the Christ had an effect on a lot of people.

    Watch my thumbs down....

EDIT @ Kris: Me too. No one said anything. They just sat there! Afterwards, we didn't talk the whole way home.

  7. Spiritual, no. Christian theme, yes.

  8. What do you mean by 'spiritual content'?

This is open to interpretation.  It would depend on the film, obviously.
