  1. Young children do not really understand the need to keep clean, except in a very general manner. Getting dirty while they play is either fun or not even noticed. It is far easier to make bath time a fun and cheerful experience, which the child will look forward to, rather than trying to make a child understand hygiene in any meaningful way. That can come later, after bath time has become established and made into a 'ritual'. maybe bathe with your children when they are young, it sometimes makes bath time easier and more fun for all of us. Cleaning behind the ears can be made into a game.

  2. My neices are 4 and 15 months, they LOVE bath and shower time... all we have to do is tell one of them it's bathtime and they race to the tub.

  3. well when i was little...

it was because it was always cold when i got out

  4. Maybe they don't have enough bath toys? If I let him, my 2-year-old would take three or four baths a day.

My older kids moan and groan about getting into the shower, but once they're in they don't want to come out, either.
