I did just once, it was a man who answered a question with something like "all lesbians are that way because they've been abused by men".  I was so incensed I had to vent a little steam at him.  It did help, but I'm sure it made no difference.  In his reply he was unrepentant, for want of a better word.  

On the other side of the coin, I've been called a maggot for thanking another user for pointing out an offensive contributor.  I just thanked them for the compliment, seeing as how maggots are useful little critters.

Sometimes it's best to let rip, especially if you can do it without being personally abusive or offensive.  You've got a wonderful way with words, I'm sure you can manage to get your point across and be polite at the same time!

no but I got harassed by a guy saying he wanted to pee on me..to every question I wrote or responded too. It did little good when I responded and even made it worse before I got him booted off. Let it go..your a better person for it

I received a very strongly worded email from a person who apparently did not appreciate my anti-McCain humor.  Hahahee. That was fun. But I wouldn't ever do that to anyone else, we are all entitled to our opinion, no matter how ignorant, shallow, and closed-minded it happens to be.
